Video Gaming Attorney Steve Smith Named A Daily Journal "20 Under 40"

 Entertainment Counselor Is Top Scorer With Wins In Industry Defining Disputes and Deals 

Greenberg Glusker partner Stephen Smith, 39, was recognized by the Los Angeles Daily Journal in its publication  “20 Under 40,” profiling outstanding young California attorneys.  Smith, an entertainment litigator, was lauded for his many triumphs representing the interactive gaming industry. Several of Smith’s recent cases were noted for their industry-wide impact including:

  • Securing a $13 million award for Ubisoft Entertainment, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, in a contentious “Bratz” license dispute against MGA Entertainment.
  • Closing one of the most significant video game deals, Ubisoft’s acquisition of rights to use bestselling author Tom Clancy's name and likeness.
