Founding Partner Receives ADL Justice And Jurisprudence Award

Greenberg Glusker is pleased to announce that its founding partner, Arthur N. Greenberg, was recognized for his distinguished career in the practice of law by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).  ADL presented its Justice and Jurisprudence Award to him at a capacity-filled gala at the Beverly Hilton on December 10, 2008.

“It is an understatement to call Arthur an outstanding lawyer and leader in our community,” said Greenberg Glusker’s Managing Partner Norman H. Levine who introduced Greenberg at the event. “I can think of no one who is more deserving than Arthur of such a significant recognition.”

Greenberg, who was recently profiled as “a legend” in the February 2009 issue of Southern California Super Lawyers, co-founded the Firm in 1959 and has been a lifelong leader and contributor to Los Angeles’ educational and cultural organizations.

Greenberg serves on the boards of the UCLA Medical Center, Geffen Theatre, UCLA Foundation, and UCLA Law School and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.  He also has served on the board of directors of the RAND Institute for Civil Justice and The Music Center of Los Angeles County, as president of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles County and has been a moderator of the Aspen Institute. He and his wife are Founders of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art and the Skirball Cultural Center. In addition, Greenberg was honored as Alumnus of the Year of UCLA Law School where he was a member of the school’s the first graduating class.

“It is a privilege to be honored,” said Greenberg.  “In these critical times, the ADL program is more relevant than ever throughout the world.”
