IP Litigator Emphasizes Firm’s Custom, Value-Driven Solutions for Entertainment, Real Estate and Business Clients in a Challenging Economy
Greenberg Glusker today announced that partner Aaron J. Moss has been named Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Group effective immediately. He leads a litigation team that manages client disputes in a wide variety of subject areas, including entertainment, employment, environmental, commercial, real estate, probate, investment fraud and intellectual property matters. Known in the entertainment industry for his creative approaches to cutting-edge intellectual property cases involving Godzilla, Lassie, Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise, Moss was recently named by the Daily Journal as one of the “Top 75 Intellectual Property Litigators in California.”
“Aaron has a proven track record in some of Hollywood’s most difficult IP cases, and is a leader who understands the art and science of conflict resolution,” said Greenberg Glusker’s Managing Partner Norman H. Moss looks forward to extending the Firm’s strengths in value-driven, efficiently staffed, high-performance representation. “We don’t take a ‘one size fits all’ approach to litigation,” said Moss. “We know when it’s appropriate to negotiate and strike a settlement, but we’re equally prepared and skilled at trying a case.”
While highlighting recent trial successes of the Firm’s Litigation Group in major environmental contamination, real estate and solar energy lawsuits, Moss notes that clients are operating with tightened budgets. “Listening to clients and offering multiple solutions and efficient courses of action are more important than ever,” said Moss.
Moss has been an integral part of a comprehensive and vigorous IP enforcement campaign for Toho Co., Ltd., the owner of the Godzilla character. Among his current matters are cases for Marvel Entertainment, owner of the iconic Spider-Man character, and Costco Wholesale Corporation. Last year, Moss was one of two Greenberg Glusker attorneys who arbitrated and won a multimillion dollar award on behalf of a film finance company against a major motion picture studio.
Moss is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, and earned his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from University of California, Los Angeles. He is a sought-after media commentator, who has been quoted on high-profile content controversies. Moss has been included on the “Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars” list of distinguished attorneys for the past seven years, and is a member of Greenberg Glusker’s Strategic Planning Committee.
