Sean Carney’s practice focuses on the litigation, arbitration, and negotiation of a variety of general business and real estate matters.  His experience includes counseling and representing clients in cases for breach of contract, fraud, business torts, commercial and residential unlawful detainer, and breach of lease, among other matters.

• Part of a two-person team that won an arbitration award on behalf of a European concert promoter in a breach of contract case against a prominent band
• Represents clients in both commercial and residential unlawful detainer cases, including one of country’s largest shopping center owners and the owner of one of the most well-known buildings in downtown Los Angeles’ fashion district
• Part of a two-person team that obtained a favorable settlement for a European film distributor in a dispute with major U.S. film studio
• Part of two-person team that represented the general partner of a $110 million partnership in an intra-partner dispute for control over the partnership
• Negotiated the favorable resolution of a dispute with a major credit card processing company on behalf of a prominent entertainment figure
• Represented a leading private real estate investment company in a dispute with an alleged broker involving a $52 million real estate deal
