Pre-eminent entertainment attorneys recognized in elite list of top Hollywood lawyers

Bert FieldsBonnie Eskenazi and Aaron Moss, partners at the Los Angeles-based law firm Greenberg Glusker, were recognized in the eighth annual “Top 100 Power Lawyers” report, published today by The Hollywood Reporter.

To determine Hollywood's 100 most influential attorneys, The Hollywood Reporter researches the biggest deals and legal cases of the past year. Lawyers are identified as talent dealmakers, litigators or corporate dealmakers and evaluated against their peers based on cases won/nature of deals closed as well as their reputation within the entertainment legal community.

“Bert and Bonnie are two of the pre-eminent entertainment litigators in the nation and Aaron has become one of the most sought-after IP lawyers in the entertainment industry, so we are delighted that the editors of The Hollywood Reporter selected them for the 2014 edition of this prestigious list,” said Bob Baradaran, managing partner of Greenberg Glusker.

Fields is widely regarded as being among the nation's leading entertainment attorneys. He represents the industry’s top performers, directors, writers, producers, studios, talent agencies, book publishers and record companies, and he has tried many of the landmark cases in the entertainment industry over the past 30 years. He is a recipient of the Interest of Justice Award by the Legal Aid Foundation, teaches the course on entertainment law at Stanford Law School and lectures annually at Harvard Law School. Fields is a graduate of Harvard Law School and earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA.

Eskenazi has been included on The Power Lawyers report since 2008. She has also been honored as an entertainment lawyer of the year, and has been repeatedly recognized as one of the top women litigators in California and as one of the America’s leading media lawyers by a number of top legal publications. She represents plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of entertainment litigation matters, including profit participation, copyright, defamation and general business disputes, and also serves as outside general counsel for the Estate of Bob Marley. She teaches the course in entertainment law at Stanford Law School (with her partner Bert Fields) and guest lectures at Harvard Law School. Eskenazi is a graduate of Stanford Law School and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.

Moss, a partner in the Intellectual Property Department at Greenberg Glusker, litigates high-profile copyright infringement actions for both plaintiffs and defendants, including studios, independent distributors, production companies, video game publishers, apparel manufacturers, technology firms and individuals. In addition to copyright matters, Moss has handled matters involving trademark and trade dress infringement and domain name disputes. He has served as a board member of the Los Angeles Copyright Society and as a member of the executive committee for the Entertainment Law and Intellectual Property Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Moss is a graduate of Harvard Law School and was awarded his undergraduate degree from UCLA.

Fields, Eskenazi and Moss were among the lawyers honored this morning at a breakfast hosted by Matthew Belloni, executive editor of The Hollywood Reporter, at Spago Beverly Hills.
