Greenberg Glusker today announced that three of its attorneys were named to an exclusive list of “California’s Top Entertainment Lawyers” for 2014, which was published this week by the Daily Journal. The Daily Journal is the leading legal newspaper in California.

The Firm’s three honored attorneys – Bob BaradaranPierce O’Donnell and Bert Fields—all played prominent roles in Greenberg Glusker’s representation this year of Shelly Sterling in the historic $2 billion sale of the Los Angeles Clippers to Steve Ballmer.

Baradaran, a transactional partner, was lead transaction counsel to Mrs. Sterling. He was elected to serve as Greenberg Glusker’s managing partner in January 2014. Baradaran advises some of the most recognizable companies in the sports, entertainment and hospitality industries on their real estate holdings and general legal matters. He was named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Who’s Who in Real Estate Law” list that recognized the top real estate lawyers in Los Angeles County for 2013, which noted that he “regularly represents clients in complex, high-profile real estate transactions,” and was named to the Daily Journal’s list of “Top 100 Lawyers in California” for 2014.

O’Donnell, a nationally renowned and accomplished trial attorney, was lead litigation counsel to Mrs. Sterling. He joined Greenberg Glusker in March 2014. O’Donnell was named one of the “100 Most Influential Lawyers in America” by The National Law Journal and has tried a long list of significant cases for major clients, such as the famed Buchwald v. Paramount case related to the movie “Coming to America,” litigation on behalf of the victims of Hurricane Katrina and the Metro Goldwyn Mayer v. American Honda case that recognized federal copyright protection for James Bond. In September, he was named to the Daily Journal’s list of “Top 100 Lawyers in California” for 2014.

Fields is one of the nation's leading entertainment attorneys. He conducted the dynamic cross examination of Donald Sterling.  He represents the industry’s top performers, directors, writers, producers, studios, talent agencies, book publishers and record companies, and he has tried many of the landmark cases in the entertainment industry over the past 30 years. In addition to his work on the Clippers sale, the Daily Journal editors also noted his recent work representing Golden Boy Promotions, Tom Cruise, Joel Silver and James Cameron.
