Honest Pricing Law spurs wave of 'drip pricing' lawsuits

Litigation Partner Ira Steinberg was quoted in a Daily Journal article discussing the effects of California’s Honest Pricing Law.

However, not everyone's seen an uptick in cases. Ira M. Steinberg of Greenberg Glusker LLP said
that the bulk of the new CLRA lawsuits he sees are under provisions in the law that existed prior
to the amendment.
"As far as I can tell, it hasn't really spawned ... an upsurge in litigation; Steinberg said.
Steinberg said that much of his practice in the area involves the food and beverage industry,
which has some exemptions from the 2024 law, but that it hasn't come up much with clients in
other industries either.
