Greenberg Glusker participated in Los Angeles Business Journal's TechTalk Cybersecurity supplement, featuring Partner Tim Toohey on a webinar panel and an article written by Karina Sterman. Industry experts gathered to discuss how businesses can protect their computer systems, networks, and data from theft and damage. The panel also covered how to improve loss prevention protocols and business tech-related practices.

Partner & Chair of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Group, Timothy Toohey, stated "When we approach cyber security today, it is important to consider the increasing number of state laws that require businesses to have 'reasonable security' in place. A business must carefully assess the personal information that it collects and evolving threats [...] in establishing its security practices. There is no 'one size fits all' for security."

Employment Partner, Karina Sterman, shared an article in the supplement titled "CCPA: The Other Problem with a Capital "C". Sterman says that many mistake CCPA regulations for only being outward-facing; however, they apply to employees and this has become increasingly prevalent this past year with many working remotely in the midst of the pandemic. In her article, she covers CCPA requirements, whether it applies to all California businesses, how it protects California employees, and next steps for businesses.
