Corporate partner, Daniel Cousineau, and Intellectual Property partner, Laurie Selkowitz, have been recognized on the LA Times Studios list of "2026 Legal Visionaries."

Daniel and Laurie were selected for their commitment to excellence, thought leadership, and impactful contributions to both their clients and the broader legal community.

Daniel Cousineau specializes in tax services for domestic and international mergers and acquisitions including corporate reorganizations, partnership joint ventures and structuring incentive equity. He recently advised the founders of Echo on the $375-million cash-and-stock sale of their crypto investment platform to Coinbase Global Inc. Additionally, he represented American Circulation Innovation, Inc. in the strategic merger that formed FAST Group. His experience includes drafting limited liability operating agreements for real estate joint ventures and prominent artists in the entertainment industry. Daniel previously served as a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Group at KPMG.

Laurie Selkowitz advises Fortune 500 companies and emerging businesses on complex issues at the intersection of technology, privacy, and intellectual property law. She navigates matters involving artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies while drafting sophisticated agreements for SaaS and cloud technology offerings. Her practice also extends to the monetization of content across digital platforms, where Selkowitz negotiates FAST streaming distribution deals for media and entertainment companies. Drawing on deep experience in privacy and digital innovation, she counsels clients on data governance, regulatory compliance, and the responsible use of consumer information in rapidly evolving business environments. She maintains a significant presence in the community as a member of the Board of Governors for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and an ambassador for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
