Trump's Big Tech Lockout Adds Fuel to Oversight Debate

"The last thing anyone wants to see is a repetition of the horrific events that were instigated on social media by President Trump, and if the platforms themselves aren't prepared to really seriously alter the ways in which they operate, then I think a legislative solution is inevitable."

"In general, these policies and guidelines that social media platforms have adopted should really apply more aggressively in the case of people like the president ... since people like the president have the ultimate bully pulpit and don't need to have their voices amplified by social media platforms," Mirell said.
