On June 17th, Greenberg Glusker Employment Law Partners, Karina B. Sterman and Kelly M. Raney, will present an online employment law basics seminar for marginalized small business owners through Bet Tzedek as part of the USC Bridges to Business Program.

Following the start of the pandemic, which severely impacted small businesses, Bet Tzedek ramped up its Small Business Development Program and nurtured many new partnerships with community organizations and government offices to further expand their reach. This includes Bet Tzedek's partnership with USC’s Bridges to Business Program, a 10-week training program for marginalized small business owners, with an emphasis on local, women, veteran, disabled, and minority-owned small businesses.

Karina Sterman defends businesses in class action lawsuits as well as in discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment disputes. While she regularly defends companies in administrative proceedings in front of the EEOC, Department of Labor, California Labor Commissioner, and other jurisdictions, she leverages her significant experience in “behind the scenes” counseling to avoid or resolve pending claims.

Kelly Raney counsels and defends employers and management in the full range of employment law issues at the state and federal levels. She represents and advises clients of all sizes, from start-ups and high-net-worth individuals to Fortune 500 companies on matters ranging from employment policies, practices and compliance, pre-litigation disputes and investigations, and all stages of litigation.
