Greenberg Glusker Elevates Five Attorneys to Partner

LOS ANGELES – January 1, 2022 - Greenberg Glusker is pleased to announce that Sedina L. Banks, Keith Patrick Banner, Eric-Perlmutter-Gumbiner, Kelly M. Raney, and Steven Stein have become partners effective January 1, 2022.

Sedina L. Banks is in the Environmental Group. She counsels and represents a broad array of clients including property owners, municipalities, and companies in a wide range of environmental matters related to contaminated properties, CEQA, water quality, and air quality issues, and real estate transactional support. She has represented clients in investigation, enforcement, and remedial matters involving the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the California Regional Water Quality Control Boards, California air districts, the California Department of Toxic Substances Control, and the California UST Fund.

Keith Patrick Banner is in the Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Group. He focuses on business insolvency and distressed transactions with relevant experience in a variety of industries, including retail, entertainment, technology, and real estate. Keith helps guide companies through a myriad of insolvency solutions that are appropriate for the particular circumstance, including out-of-court transactions, such as the refinance of complex loan facilities or an assignment for the benefit of creditors (“ABC”); or through the bankruptcy court in a chapter 11 reorganization or chapter 7 liquidation.

Eric Perlmutter-Gumbiner is in the Corporate Finance & Securities Group. He represents clients in a wide variety of general corporate and transactional matters, specializing in matters related to emerging companies, venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions. He advises companies across a broad range of sectors, but specializes in companies in the technology, sports and entertainment, food and beverage, and consumer products industries.

Kelly M. Raney is in the Labor & Employment group. She counsels and defends employers and management in the full range of employment law issues at the state and federal levels. She represents and advises clients of all sizes, from start-ups and high-net-worth individuals to Fortune 500 companies on matters ranging from employment policies, practices and compliance, pre-litigation disputes and investigations, and all stages of litigation. She has also litigated high-stakes intellectual property and commercial contract disputes, which included authoring briefs and appearing at the federal appellate level.

Steve Stein is in the Litigation Group. He represents clients in an array of high-profile matters, including prominent media organizations in speech and intellectual property disputes, entertainment companies in claims concerning valuable projects, and companies and individuals in complex business and contract disputes. He has significant experience litigating business issues in high-net-worth dissolution proceedings. He also litigates cannabis-related disputes, helping found and serving as Co-Chair of the firm’s Cannabis Group. Steve regularly takes cases to arbitration and trial.
