Greenberg Glusker Welcomes Six Associates

Within the past two months, the firm has hired the following lateral associates: Raymond Singson for corporate, Nancy Zhao for real estate and Kristin Haule for litigation. The firm also hired 2021 summer associates Emily Avazian and Taryn Jacobson for litigation and Wajeeh Mahmood for corporate.
Aaron Gafni, who leads the firm’s associate recruiting efforts said he is not surprised about the interest in associates wanting to work at a firm like Greenberg Glusker.
“First and foremost, lifestyle is important,” said Gafni who joined the firm as a summer associate about 15 years ago. “We have a different vibe, compared to some of the bigger firms in terms of sheer hours and expectations. We’ve historically treated associates with a lot of respect for them and for their time.”
He noted, for example, the firm’s marketing budget will pay for an associate to spend several nights and several thousand dollars at industry conferences. And the firm will allow associates to bring in clients that aren’t a perfect match for the firm, such as a young startup, so that they get experience onboarding and managing a client.
When the lateral associates were asked why they left bigger firms to join Greenberg Glusker, they made the following comments:
