So Long, Farewell: US Tax Issues for Expatriates
Private Client Services Partner Thomas M. Giordano-Lascari will be speaking on the panel, "So Long, Farewell: US Tax Issues for Expatriates," at the 2025 May Tax Meeting hosted by the American Bar Association.
This panel, scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, will address the US tax rules applicable to individuals who renounce US citizenship or relinquish long-term resident status, including the regimes of Sections 877 and 877A, recent developments such as the final regulations under Section 2801, as well as legislative proposals addressing overseas citizens.
Thomas has nearly two decades of experience in advising high-net-worth individuals and closely-held businesses with international income tax and estate planning issues.
