Greenberg Glusker is pleased to sponsor the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Tax Bar and Tax Policy Conference this year. The conference is presented by the California Lawyers Association, and will take place November 6 - 8, 2024, at Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, CA.

Thomas Giordano-Lascari, Private Client Services Partner, will be speaking on the panel "US Planning Structures for Foreigners That Take Into Account Foreign Tax Law", at the conference. The panel is scheduled to take place from 3:45 - 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Zack Nolan, Counsel, will also be in attendance.

Session Details:

When a foreigner invests or plans their estate while having US connections (potentially including citizenship, beneficiaries, or asset situs), tax structuring for the US federal and state tax systems is only half the battle; such structures must also account for the foreigner's own tax laws.

Panelists will discuss some of the most interesting structures they know of which address the often conflicting goals of the US and applicable foreign tax systems.
