Greenberg Glusker represented Watt Ventures, Inc., one of the largest developers, owners, and managers of real estate on the West Coast, in the restructuring of its company into five new entities.

Watt Ventures, Inc. operated a 70-year old real estate business that was founded by Ray Watt and was subsequently run by the second and third-generation descendants of Ray Watt.  As part of the restructuring, Watt Ventures’ business was divided among five new corporations, each of which is owned by a different group of Watt family members.  The company was split in a way that enables the former shareholders to create a new legacy for the future. The Watt Companies portfolio includes shopping centers, office, industrial and multifamily properties.

Greenberg Glusker served as counsel to Watt Ventures, Inc. The Greenberg Glusker team was led by Warren “Skip” Kessler, and team members included Michael Wiener, Zachary Nolan, Alexa Steinberg, Jeffrey Krieger, Schuyler “Sky” Moore, Joel Weinstein, Graham Fenton, William Moodie and Ryan Iwasaka.
