California Supreme Court Draws Boundaries for the Free Speech Defense in a Consumer False Advertising Lawsuit
Leading media outlets covered Vera Serova’s victory in the California Supreme Court and the resolution of her false advertising lawsuit against Sony Music Entertainment which alleged three songs on a Michael Jackson posthumous album released by Sony in 2010 did not feature Jackson’s authentic vocals. The lawsuit settled after Sony had removed the three disputed songs from music platforms worldwide.
