Opportunity Zones Panel at Novogradac Spring OZ Conference
Greenberg Glusker Partner, Michael Wiener, has joined the "Addressing Tax and Legal Issues" panel at the Novogradac 2022 Spring Opportunity Zones Conference taking place April 21-22, 2022, in Long Beach, California and online.
The "Addressing Tax and Legal Issues" panel will be held from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21. Panelists will discuss the often complex tax and legal issues stakeholders face with opportunity zones investment.
Michael Wiener is a partner in Greenberg Glusker's Taxation, Real Estate, and Opportunity Zones Groups. Michael's practice focuses on structuring real estate and corporate transactions in a tax-efficient manner. Since the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, Michael has become an expert on the qualified opportunity zone statute and related treasury regulations. Michael has structured numerous investments in qualified opportunity zones, has both published and spoken on the topic, and has advised investors, qualified opportunity funds and qualified opportunity zone businesses on compliance issues. Michael’s experience ranges from working with closely held funds to advising on widely syndicated offerings.
