Lew Wolff has sold his 10% stake in the Oakland Athletics to the Fisher family, which previously had owned about 80% of the Major League Baseball team. Although John Fisher has controlled the majority of the team, Wolff ran it as the managing partner.

With this deal Fisher now runs the A's.

Galatioto Sports Partners, the leading sports advisory firm in North America, is pleased to announce the signing of a definitive agreement whereby the ownership stake in the Oakland Athletics franchise will be sold and transferred to entities controlled by the Fisher family who have been investors in the club since 2005.  The terms of the sale, including price, were not disclosed.
