Greenberg Glusker Advises Jomboy Media in Landmark Deal with Major League Baseball

June 10, 2025Press Release

Los Angeles, CA — Greenberg Glusker served as legal counsel to Jomboy Media in its partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB), which includes an equity investment by MLB and a collaborative effort to develop original sports content and IP. Led by CEO Courtney Hirsch and co-founders Jimmy O’Brien and Jake Storiale, Jomboy Media has quickly become a cultural force in sports media through its signature blend of digital storytelling, fan engagement, and creator-first content.

Under this new partnership, Jomboy Media and MLB will co-develop original content and intellectual property. MLB will tap into Jomboy’s creative expertise across its digital channels, collaborate on activations around major events like the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, and support the growth of Jomboy Media’s flagship properties including Talkin’ Baseball, Talkin’ Yanks, and The Warehouse Games. While MLB operates its own in-house studio, this deal gives the league a stake in an outside media company—and, more significantly, a foothold in the creator economy, which has become a vital part of the live sports ecosystem across all major leagues.

“It’s a big moment for one of the most creative and authentic voices in sports media—and a clear sign that baseball is leaning into how fans actually want to consume content,” said Eric Perlmutter-Gumbiner, Corporate Partner at Greenberg Glusker and lead counsel for this deal.

The deal team was led by Eric Perlmutter-Gumbiner (Corporate), and included Jesse Saivar (IP/Digital Media & Technology) and David Kramer (Corporate).
