Barry: When you are representing the landlord or the tenant, is your role a facilitator, as in are you trying to make the deal? Are you trying to protect the client? Are you negotiating with someone else's attorney, broker, or principal? And, how does that go [from your role] in the transaction?
Ken: All of the above. From the protection perspective, I can draft the best documents on the planet and protect my clients from every risk in the world, but that deal is not getting done. The goal is to facilitate the deal and move it forward, while at the same time, getting my client the best protection that they can, and getting them the best market deal that they can. That involves a number of different things...
