In 2012, Galsor structured a precedent-setting deal between major video game publisher Ubisoft Entertainment and New Regency to launch tentpole movie franchises based on Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed, one of the best-selling video games of all time. The deal is considered influential in shaping how video games will migrate into movies for years to come. “Matt’s counsel to Ubisoft is part of our continuity of counsel to the game maker, and with the Assassin’s Creed deal, he brought to bear his knowledge of interactive gaming, successful deal making and top-tier movie making,” said Greenberg Glusker Managing Partner Stephen Smith. “Congratulations to Matt on this recognition of his ingenuity, skill and dedication to clients.” At the end of last year, for the second year in a row, Variety recognized Galsor in its annual "Dealmaker Impact Report," which spotlights the most influential Hollywood dealmakers.
