Real Estate Partner, Robin Finch, shared her insight with Realtor Magazine regarding the pandemic housing boom and how many buyers are now looking to purchase land to construct a home that fits their needs. Construction has become increasingly difficult as there is a shortage of land available for purchase, in addition to supply chain and labor issues due to the pandemic. The construction process itself is also very detailed and involves many different entities such as architects, landscape designers, engineers, subcontractors, and many more. Robin suggests bringing on an attorney early in the process—even before land is bought.


The advantage of this route is it gives homeowners more of what they want for their budget. “They can put solar panels on the roof to lower costs and make it passive and environmentally friendly, for example,” says Los Angeles attorney Robin Finch, a real estate partner at Greenberg Glusker.
