Ricardo Cestero is best known for developing creative strategies and winning arguments for an extensive client list of celebrities, athletes, and sports and entertainment companies in a wide range of entertainment-related disputes and lawsuits. Cestero joined Greenberg Glusker as a first-year associate after graduating law school in 1999. Now as a partner, Cestero’s practice also extends beyond the entertainment industry to complex commercial litigation involving partnership, contract, and real estate. Cestero has particular expertise in First Amendment issues, including defamation and restraint of speech, as well as extensive experience handling motion picture and television production and distribution disputes and profit participation cases.
Julia Haye is widely recognized and highly regarded as among the top attorneys in her field. As a partner at Greenberg Glusker, her entertainment practice includes successful resolution, at trial and in arbitration, of complex business disputes involving profit participation, motion picture production and distribution, rights ownership, copyright and trademark infringement, idea submission, and other entertainment-related conflicts and contractual disputes. Haye’s counsel and interests encompass every genre of entertainment and media, including studio and independent motion pictures, television, music, dance, and online and digital media. She has represented Marvel Entertainment in various matters involving IP and profit participation.
Steven Stein has focused his practice on media, intellectual property, entertainment and business disputes. Stein has represented large businesses, media organizations, entertainment companies and individuals in lawsuits involving complex contract issues, valuable film and television projects, multimillion-dollar defamation claims, copyright and trademark infringement claims, and real estate disputes. Stein also has significant experience in litigating and advising clients about issues in the cannabis industry and litigating business issues in high-net worth dissolution proceedings. Before joining Greenberg Glusker, Stein wrote for the Washington Post and served as a law clerk on the United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit.
