Los Angeles Business Journal

We are pleased to announce Greenberg Glusker partners Ryan Iwasaka and Benny Roshan have been selected to Los Angeles Business Journal's Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys list. Attorneys were selected to this list based on their impact and contributions to the legal industry and the community. We applaud Ryan and Benny's outstanding work and achievements.

Ryan Iwasaka applies an energetic and holistic approach to his real estate practice at Greenberg Glusker, pursuing the deal at hand and simultaneously addressing his clients’ ownership, investment and strategic goals. Iwasaka maintains a diverse practice across the primary real estate disciplines of acquisitions & sales, leasing, and finance. His experience covers a wide range of property categories, spanning commercial, retail, and industrial sites to residential, multi-family and raw land. Although he focuses on the California market, Iwasaka regularly handles transactions across the U.S., having closed deals in nearly every state, globally throughout Asia and Latin America. Iwasaka’s practice also encompasses the sale or exchange of interests in corporations, LLCs, and partnerships that own or operate real estate assets, resolution of major title defects and vesting issues, and the acquisition and repositioning of distressed assets. He routinely oversees many of the firm’s most complex and high-profile commercial transactions.

Benazeer “Benny” Roshan chairs Greenberg Glusker’s Trusts and Probate Litigation Group. Roshan’s practice focuses on litigation surrounding substantial trusts and estates, including conservatorships. For over 18 years, she has successfully represented a wide range of fiduciaries and beneficiaries in disputes involving trusts, fiduciary appointments, accountings, removal, and surcharge actions. Roshan is a thought leader in her area, presenting topics such as “Conservatorship Primer: A Case Study of the Britney Spears Conservatorship” and authoring many articles, including “Best Practices Guide for Fiduciaries and Their Representatives” and “View from the Bench” with the Honorable Reva Goetz, both published by the American Bar Association, Trusts & Estates Litigation Committee. Roshan successfully represented a group of trust beneficiaries before the 9th Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel on the issue of whether bankruptcy debt of the beneficiaries’ parent impacted their contingent beneficial interest in their family trust.
