Sky Moore, Partner in the firm's Tax and Entertainment Groups, was featured on Filmmaking Conversations with Damien Swaby. He discussed the evolving entertainment landscape, including the impact of streaming services and the decline of traditional film markets.

Excerpts:

What motivated you to pursue a career in entertainment law, and how did your education at UCLA prepare you for this path?

I had no interest in entertainment law at all, or entertainment. I don't have a television or watch films. The short answer is that I was a tax guy and ended up at a firm that I didn't realize was just a very heavy entertainment firm. I ended up being the chairman of this entertainment tax section of the LA County Bar and writing a tax treatise called "Taxation of the Entertainment Industry." Then, I segued into the business side from the tax side.
