Sky Moore, an Entertainment Partner with film financing experience, shared insight with The Hollywood Reporter regarding states competing to host productions. California remains a hot spot due to the state's generous tax incentives. SB-144, which was signed by Governor Newsom in July 2021, gives the television and film industries an additional $330 million in tax credits in addition to the $330 million that is already included in the state's incentives program.
