Villa La Massa, Firenze, Italy
Laura A. Zwicker

Laura Zwicker, Co-Chair of Greenberg Glusker's Private Client Services Group, will co-present, "The Age of Longevity: Protecting Wealth When Capacity Declines," at the ALM | Law.com Private Client Exchange Italy 2026 conference on April 20, 2026, at the Villa La Massa in Firenze, Italy.

Session Description:

As life expectancy rises, capacity issues are becoming central to private client advice. Increasing vulnerability exposes families to risks of financial abuse, mismanagement and asset dissipation. This Exchange examines protective mechanisms, including lasting powers of attorney, guardianship regimes and the strategic use of discretionary trusts - to ensure continuity, governance and asset protection in later life. Speakers will address practical case studies involving wealthy seniors and explore how advisors can pre-empt capacity-related challenges.
