Greenberg Glusker Represents Mini Katana, Leading Content-to-Commerce Brand, in Sale to Reality Marble
LOS ANGELES — Greenberg Glusker LLP represented Mini Katana, a leading content-to-commerce brand known for its anime-inspired swords, collectibles, apparel and accessories, in its sale to Reality Marble, an Emerald Lane portfolio company.
Mini Katana has built one of the most distinctive content-to-commerce businesses in the creator economy, combining viral short-form video, highly engaged online communities, and a rapidly growing consumer products platform. Founded by Isaac Medeiros in 2021, the company has grown from a niche sword brand into a multi-category commerce business with more than 30 million subscribers, over 10 billion annual YouTube views, and more than $50 million in product sales.
Reality Marble’s acquisition of Mini Katana adds a flagship YouTube channel and high-performing commerce platform to its growing portfolio, which also includes The Modern Martial Artist and Casual Navigation. The transaction positions Mini Katana for continued expansion across content, commerce, and product innovation.
“Mini Katana is a standout example of a content-to-commerce business that has translated audience engagement into real consumer demand and durable enterprise value,” said lead transaction partner, Eric Perlmutter-Gumbiner, of Greenberg Glusker's Corporate Group. “Isaac and the Mini Katana team have built something truly differentiated at the intersection of media, brand and commerce, and we were proud to help guide them through this important milestone.”
The Greenberg Glusker deal team was led by partner Eric Perlmutter-Gumbiner, with support from William Moodie (Corporate), Robert Cahill (Corporate), Daniel Cousineau (Tax), Laurie Selkowitz (IP), Liz Sbardellati (IP/Trademark), and Kelly Raney (Employment).
