Our Intellectual Property Litigation Group advises and advocates for our clients on complex, high-stakes rights issues. We counsel talent, entertainment companies, media organizations, brands and other clients on a broad range of intellectual property issues. We also regularly fight for our clients’ intellectual property rights in a wide variety of legal proceedings, including:

  • Virtually all aspects of copyright law, including disputes involving image, video, music and AI, copyright termination, copyright preemption, ownership transfers, license termination, copyright preemption, music sampling, and internet piracy.
  • Trademark disputes involving claims that one mark is confusingly similar to another, as well as trademark dilution, “cybersquatting” and trade dress infringement claims,
  • “Idea submission” cases involving motion pictures, television shows, video games, books, and toys.
  • “Right of publicity” matters, prosecuting and defending claims relating to the unauthorized use of celebrities’ names, likenesses, and voices.
  • Unfair competition disputes, with particularly extensive expertise in matters involving “grey market” goods.
