Arthur has established a personal reputation for cultivating and supporting the Los Angeles art communities as a founding member of both the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). He is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Music Center of Los Angeles and Board of Directors for the Geffen Playhouse.
