Greenberg Glusker Appoints Elisabeth Moriarty as Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Department

Moriarty will oversee the Department’s continued growth and success, providing strategic leadership and guidance to the firm’s established team of litigators. She succeeds Aaron Moss, who spent a remarkable 12 years at the Department’s helm, helping earn numerous key victories and solidifying the firm's litigation reputation inside and outside of the courtroom.
Moriarty, a driving force in the entertainment industry, represents plaintiffs and defendants in some of the industry’s most significant, high-stakes disputes involving copyright, trademark and trade dress infringement, motion picture production and distribution, defamation, unfair competition, the licensing of intellectual property rights, and contractual disputes. She is well known for litigating major profit participation matters on behalf of the Estate of J.R.R. Tolkien, Marvel Entertainment, and the rights holders to the Winnie the Pooh property, among others. Moriarty is also frequently called upon to consult in complex, high-asset divorce proceedings; while Greenberg Glusker does not offer a traditional family law practice, she partners with family law counsel in challenging cases involving marital property characterization, valuation and division, apportionment, marital agreements, and complex marital property issues.
