Each year, the Los Angeles Business Journal team takes on the project of researching, identifying, and highlighting the most influential, most powerful, and most impactful business professionals in the Los Angeles region. In what has become a nearly yearlong task, they seek out and, ultimately, profile dynamic leaders who are driving innovation, creativity, community, and industry.

Bob Baradaran acts as outside general counsel to companies, funds, family offices, and wealthy entrepreneurs in real estate, hospitality, sports, technology and entertainment. Baradaran is the special counsel who helped negotiate the development agreement for the $1 billion Cheval Blanc luxury hotel on Rodeo Drive in the heart of the Beverly Hills golden triangle business district. He is currently working on a 3,000-acre hospitality, residential and entertainment master development project in the Dominican Republic. In 2014, Baradaran represented Shelly Sterling in the $2 billion sale of the Los Angeles Clippers to Steve Ballmer.

Bonnie Eskenazi regularly handles high-profile entertainment disputes. Her clients have included the estate of Bob Marley, Jeffrey Katzenberg, the owners of Alvin and the Chipmunks, the owners of merchandising rights in Winnie the Pooh, the Estate of J.R.R. Tolkien, Marvel Entertainment and DreamWorks SKG. She is on the board of Women in Film, where she helped create the organization’s sexual harassment Help Line. She is also a passionate supporter of local theater and is on the board of the Geffen Playhouse.
