Business Impacts of Amendments to California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
Greenberg Glusker's Cybersecurity and Privacy Chair, Tim Toohey, will present "Business Impacts of Amendments to California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)" to the AITP - Los Angeles Chapter on August 29, 2023.
On July 1, 2023, the amendments to the CCPA from the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) came into effect. This presentation will address those amendments and their impact on business.
The topics of the presentation will include:
- Consumer rights under the CCPA
- The impact of amended provisions relating to sharing and selling of personal information
- When businesses have to provide notice of collection of “sensitive” personal information
- The expansion of the CCPA to employees and job applicants
