Sherry Jackman, Environmental Department

Sherry Jackman, an accomplished environmental litigator and compliance counselor, brings her creative, strategic, and efficient approach to representing entities grappling with complex environmental challenges.

Sherry’s entire legal career has centered on environmental law and litigation. She has earned significant accolades in her field—including being named to the Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars for the past seven consecutive years (and was recently included on the Up-and-Coming 50 Women list) and listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch^® in America for the past three consecutive years. Sherry earned her J.D. and M.B.A. from UCLA, and her B.S. from the College of Agricultural and Resource Economics at University of California, Davis, where she was a Regent’s Scholar.

Outside of work, Sherry focuses her time on several passion projects including serving as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Coalition for Clean Air, a nonprofit organization founded in 1971. Before starting her law career, Sherry avidly participated in competitive ballroom, Latin, and swing dancing.

Michelle Mabugat, Corporate Department

Michelle Mabugat has a broad-based corporate and transactional practice that focuses on advising entrepreneurs and high-growth companies on matters that span the business lifecycle, from start-up through exit. Often acting as outside general counsel, she assists clients with their general corporate and day-to-day transactional needs as well as their most critical transactions, including early- and growth-stage equity and debt financings, joint ventures and strategic alliances, licensing deals, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in both distressed and non-distressed situations. She also provides strategic advice to boards, management teams and investors on sensitive issues related to corporate governance, shareholder disputes, regulatory compliance and risk management. She has earned significant accolades in her field, including being listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch^® in America in 2024 and Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2021 through 2023.

Michelle represents clients across all industries but, as Co-Chair of the firm’s Cannabis Industry Group, she has significant experience representing clients in the cannabis sector. Widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading authorities on cannabis law, she has been named a “Cannabis Law Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal and a “Top Cannabis Lawyer” by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal. She earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California and her B.A from the University of California, Los Angeles.

In Michelle’s free time, she enjoys snowboarding and attending concerts. Impressively, she and her wife have attended more than 73 concerts together since first meeting at Coachella in 2018.

Ryan Webb, Entertainment Department

Ryan Webb, a seasoned negotiator and deal structurer, focuses on sophisticated rights and service deals for multi-hyphenate creators. He represents a broad range of clients including production companies, financiers, established writers, directors, actors, producers, musicians, and emerging talent and influencers. Ryan understands the unique and evolving challenges facing the entertainment industry and works with his clients to structure deals creatively and efficiently.

Ryan has earned significant accolades in his field, including being listed in Variety's Dealmakers list from 2021 through 2023, Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch^® in America in 2024 and Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2020 through 2023. He earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

In Ryan’s spare time, he plays drums in various rock bands and jazz groups around Los Angeles.
