Corporate and Finance attorney for middle-market companies named to prestigious list

Andrew M. Apfelberg, partner at Greenberg Glusker, was named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Most Influential M&A Advisors” list that recognized the top mergers and acquisitions advisors in Los Angeles County for 2013. The list was published in a special supplement within the October 28, 2013 issue of the weekly publication.

“Andrew’s professional experience as both an investment banker and an attorney enables him to more effectively structure transactions and negotiate agreements to maximize the return to the client and increase the likelihood of getting the deal closed,” said Greenberg Glusker Managing Partner Stephen Smith.

Apfelberg is a corporate and finance attorney for middle-market companies throughout the United States. He acts as their outside general counsel and advises them in significant transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity and other financings, joint ventures and licensing. He specializes in working with companies in the branded consumer products, technology & media and manufacturing & distribution industries. Apfelberg currently serves as President of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Los Angeles.

Apfelberg began his career as an investment banker at Houlihan Lokey prior to attending law school, an experience that laid the foundation for his insight in structuring business transactions. He has closed 10 deals in the past year, including transactions for a number of major players in the technology and entertainment industries.

A graduate of the University of Southern California – Marshall School of Business and Boston College Law School, Apfelberg is involved in both professional and community organizations. In addition to serving as President of ACG Los Angeles, Apfelberg leads ProVisors’ M&A group in the San Fernando Valley. He and his family are deeply involved in raising funds and visibility for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
